5.57 10 Bolt Gear Set
 

Cleaning out the garage yesterday and I find a brand new set of Shieffer
5.57s for a ten bolt. Didn't know I had them. Somebody out there is still
running a 10 Bolt. Perfect for a Dime Rocket. 175.00 plus the ride.

Are they for a 8.2 10 bolt or 8.5? Part number would help.

Sorry Lynn, I only had the styrofoam packaging not the cover with the part
numbers. I just went to the shop and looked, and the ring gear had these
numbers- BOQ 855. The pinion had 8855L. Don't know what they mean,
but hope this helps.

Chevy 64 to 70 8.2 Ten Bolt has 3/8"-24 RH thread ring gear bolts 1.438" diameter pinion 25 spline.


Chevy 70-96 8.5 Ten Bolt has 7/16-20 LH thread ring gear bolts 1.626 diameter pinion 30 spline.
