NHRA "Suits" and Marketing..
"With 80,000 members and more than 35,000 licensed competitors, NHRA is a thriving leader in the world of motorsports. Parks initially started NHRA as a means of getting hot rodders off the streets and on to legal dragstrips. Since those early days, NHRA has evolved into the largest promoter of professional drag racing in the world. Today, with more than 300 dedicated employees, ...."
Well, at least they're honest here... But does NHRA actually have young "suits" in marketing? Who are they? What do you suppose they will market next, if they get squeezed out? (notice the "sportsman" in the URL) http://sportsman.nhra.com/apcm/templ...566&zoneid=101 |
Re: NHRA "Suits" and Marketing..

The one thing that threw me though, was the D.E.I. paragraph. I'm surprised they haven't edited it to include , instead of Mr. or Ms. racer, someone either coming or going. ;-). |

Re: NHRA "Suits" and Marketing..
As I've have previously posted...
Peter Clifford, CEO makes north of $1,000,000/year as he should at the helm of a company with $90 million in revenue. |
Re: NHRA "Suits" and Marketing..
I've seen all this stuff before.
What I'm trying to find is who are these people who call the shots for what categories we're allowed to race. in. In other words (going back a way) Who decided that Jr. Stock was over with and we should be forced into S/S or Pure Stock? Who decided to do away with Modified and replace it with S/G? Who decided we needed Pro Stock Truck ? ..That didn't end well for NHRA. I would assume that got the big boot shortly thereafter. Who came up with the Import gig? Guessing that guy fell to the same fate as the previous person. I'm hoping Bobby Bennett will reply to this thread. Or maybe someone else with knowledge as to how this deal works |
Re: NHRA "Suits" and Marketing..
Joshua Peterson (Vp Racing Administration)
Ned Walliser (Vp Competition) Mark, I would think it falls under the umbrella of these two. |
Re: NHRA "Suits" and Marketing..
I'm guessing that there is less than half of the 300 employees stated in that article.
