The Chase fro the World Champship now is flawed
If it were me The way the World champions' chase would settle is this way. the winner of the Points races of each division at the end of the year would meet at Bowling Green Drag strip for the Run-Offs

Don, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this kinda/sorta the way it used to be? You had to "qualify" to go to the World Finals?

Re: The Chase fro the World Champship now is flawed
Yes , I believe you are correct Billy , Amy Faulk (SS) and Bob Newberry (Comp) are 2 that I believe won championships under that format

The damn quotas may have a significant impact on the championships.

Interesting!
Sort of like the ROC at the bracket finals. |
Re: The Chase fro the World Champship now is flawed
Not unlike ihra a while back. Thing I don’t care for in the one race takes all scenario is the world champion can be the guy that just got lucky that day. I know the whole chase is flawed, but I do believe earning points throughout the year and struggling to travel is part of the reward if it pays off

How many people would go for that, today? |
Re: The Chase fro the World Champship now is flawed
Top 6 in each division go to the finals. Then fill the 50 quota with past champions and gold cards. Then run off a 48 or 32 car ladder qualified off the index. Division winners are pre qualified 1-7 based on divisional points.
