AZ Stock Super Stock - Feb 18-19 2023

We are going to have a double in Tucson, February 18th and 19th, the week before the Phoenix divisional. Come on down and get 4 races in two weeks to start the year off. We are still ironing out the details on what payouts etc will be, but we will follow a similar format to prior years where we pay back to the early rounds. This is probably the only race we will be able to do in 2023 so we are trying to see if we can bring the purse up a little more. We will release more details and a full flier as we have them.

We’ve talked with Jim Hughes at Tucson Dragway and you will be able to leave your rigs in Tucson or stay at the track between this race and stacking for the Phoenix Divisional the following week.

The track’s gate fee has gone up $5 to $45 per day this year. I am still finalizing some sponsorship info to finalize the full purse structure but it will be a minimum of $1,200 to win per day with payouts starting with first round winners as we have had in years past. We are looking forward to another great event to kickoff the 2023 season!

Jon's wife put her foot down = We can't go!
He has 8 month old twins to take care of and I
am not willing to go by myself anymore with
all the issues with people that I have been having at the track
as of late.

Payouts and Entry have been finalized. I hope to have a final event flyer with all the sponsors etc by the weekend but I am still sorting some of that out. Payouts start with a first round win.

Gate Fee: $45 per day
Race Entry: $60 (Cash Only) per day

Winner: $1,500
Runner-Up: 500
6th Rnd: $350
5th Rnd: $250
4th Rnd: $175
3rd Rnd: $100
2nd Rnd: $60

We will also be doing a weekend points/Calcutta to the two people who enter and go the most rounds throughout the weekend.

John, No worries..We've got several of our brethren who are current or former LE officers.
We'll get them to come and we'll all park together.
Better yet. We'll just hire Mike

I totally plan on being there. My life has been so busy the last 5 months taking care of parents. One weekend of maintenance and truck and car should be ready for the trip.

Here is the full flyer. Huge shout out to UEM pistons for staying on board and being the primary sponsor for the association since day one helping make the association great and allowing us to put on these events.

We have some prizes for best losing packages in the first two rounds each day. Meziere Enterprises is giving a gift certificate to the runner up each day, California Car cover is giving a gift Certificate to each winner. AZ Differential Specialist, Advanced Automotive, and Bill Nelsons Automotive have continued their support to help us guarantee the purse no matter how many cars show up. Finally, TMM Precision (The Metal Man) donated all the metal and welding for the newest version of the custom "Cactally" trophy that will be given to each winner.

There is a track hosted test and tune on Friday night for anyone looking to get a few test hits or wanting to arrive early. We should be parked down at the last row near the scale/return road. Come see us Saturday morning to pay the association fee and so we can get your class and weight info.

We look forward to seeing everyone in a couple of weeks!

Matt
