Prayers for Brother John
 

A month ago my brother John was riding his new Harley enjoying life to the fullest. Just a few days later he was in a furniture store with Amy (his wife) looking over some furniture and says " I feel like I'm walking on sponges". She ran him up to the emergency room and they treated him for a mini stroke. The next day he had just about fully recovered but during the scan of his head they spotted a mass on his lung. Almost instantaneously he started getting horrendous pains in his back and hip. Yesterday they finally was able to get him through all the needed test. The news is devastating. Stage 4 Lung Cancer that has spread to his Pelvis, Hip and lower Spine. I post this as John and Amy are well known figures in the racing community and I'm starting to get text and calls asking what is going on. They sent him home from the hospital yesterday and will try to treat the pain with radiation starting tomorrow. Enjoy life guys, it can change in an instant.

Having the words Cancer in your diagnosis is devastating. It is how everyone involved reacts to those words that is most important. Been there, done that with my wife several years ago.

Prayers for John, Amy and family, may God comfort and help them at this difficult time.

Like Jeff said - enjoy life guys - it can change in an instant.
