A Few 327 Super Stock class questions

Sorry to be a nuisance but wanting to make sure I'm reading right. From what I'm seeing, a 327 275hp and the 327 300hp is basically the same other than a Holley carb on the 300hp version,,,as far as super stock, am I correct ? If not, please explain

If I wanted to run my car ( 67 Chevy II, stick car ) in GT, I see the 327 300hp GT factor is 289hp....how do I determine the lowest ( fastest ) GT class I can run ?

Who builds a good Holley for these ? I know Quick Fuel was making a carb for this combo.

JC go to classracerinfo.com and register, then dink around. You will see the GT class chart and then figure out what your car can weigh, if you can get it there!

Looks like theres two holley versions, 289 with lower compression and the L-79 @ 300 or you can be different and go for the 293 quadrajet/avs option.

Reach out to some of the racers that run the motor combo, I'm sure they might be able to point you to a carb source. Maybe even sell you their "non indy" carb so you can help keep that HP rating down.

To shed some light on your plan. I know that the 66 275 HP Chevy II has a 3 Carb option. The Holley used in that case is the 1.5” throttle bore one. The Quadra-jet is typically the best and some have used the Carter AVS more so on the 65 engine.
The 300 HP Corvette combo does use 1 9/16” bore Holley 585 cfm. Quick Fuel carb is the way to go Scott Perkins the man.
The car in GT can fit many classed since they lifted the 250 pounds up or down.
275/295 HP 300/289 HP
GT/F 2675 2670 min. weight for any GT with driver
GT/G 2825 2770
GT/H 2970 2915
GT/I 3120 3060
GT/J 3265 3200
Get it out there, love those Chevy II’s
