Run Data Over the Years

A few of the threads on CR are about how much better it used to be and/or how it is not the performance based class as much as some, or all, want it to be these days. I am curious as to what the data says in regards to that thought. Not the end all answer, but at least a data point in the discussion that can't be fudged. How far back do Nitro Joe Stats and Draginsights go?

Questions I ponder; what is the total number of heads up runs vs dial in runs in elims this year? Nat & Div events

Same question, over the last 5 yrs? How does the last 3 or 5 years compare to 10 or 20 yrs ago?

How many NHRA pts gathering racers are there in STK and SS over the past 20 years from year to year. 1659 this year according to NHRA points standings. What are the data based trends?

What percentage of Nat & Div events over the last 20 years were not a run-all field, and had DNQ's?

This is never going to be an apple to apple comparison as the number of classes has grown over the years, but I think at the very least, and an enginerd as myself would find it interesting, as some of you on here would I believe. I would do the data review for the this forum, if I had access to it. Thanks

Some interesting questions for sure. I bet you will get a reaction from your statement.

"The real hitters and fast guys/ gals I am guessing are too busy racing to get on here. Purely just a guess."

Wasn't trying to offend, but I can see now how that was a crappy sentence and back handed statement on my part. I don't want to slight people on here. I think I will amend my post to delete that line. In fact, my commentary about perceptions and opinions, etc, before that are not helpful to my true intent about what the data says. So I deleted them as well. Thanks for pointing out this to me Tim.
