Bowling green pits
I see rain forcasted for the days prior and during the bowling green divisional. Curious to how the pits are, as far as getting stuck with a rv and trailer? Planning to come, never been before and it’s on our bucket list.

Re: Bowling green pits
Hello, there is nothing like racing at beautiful Beech Bend Park . Don’t let the rain forecast scare you, rain is almost always in the forecast for that weekend. Any idea what day you will be arriving ? Will you bring young children or grandchildren with you ? If yes, they will need to visit the amusement park and the rollercoaster. ….Are you planning on going to Indy after the points meet ? Indy is 250 miles from the gate at Beech Bend. There is quite a bit of asphalt to pit on BUT one must arrive early to pit there. …….

Re: Bowling green pits
We plan on getting there possibly Wednesday evening or first thing Thursday morning. We are going on to Indy after bowling green. Been wanting to make it there for several years. Finally gonna work out this time.
Thankyou for your reply |
Re: Bowling green pits
If you arrive anytime Wednesday you should be able to get a nice pit area. I strongly suggest arriving during daylight hours, a newbie may have a difficult time navigating the pits during darkness. Once the event gate opens , it never closes. …..it is 24 hour access…You can come in the middle of the night …. Bowling Green is on central time and Indy is on Eastern standard time. Hope you have a wonderful experience at Beech Bend and Indy ….
