Drag racing accident in Texas.
Two children were killed and several other people were seriously injured after a drag racer lost control and plowed into spectators at an event in Texas.
The accident happened at about 3:20 p.m. local time Saturday when a car taking part in a race left the runway and hit multiple parked vehicles and people watching the event, the Kerrville Police Department said. An 8-year-old boy and 6-year-old boy were killed in the accident, according to police. The event, called Airport Race Wars 2, was being held at Kerrville-Kerr County Airport, northwest of San Antonio. READ MORE: https://6abc.com/drag-race-accident-k... |

There were no safety measures taken! https://www.ksat.com/news/local/2021...-in-kerrville/ Moreover, yesterday was a brutal day for the loss of life of racers at other events around the country. There were 3 drivers that lost their lives in accidents yesterday also. My prayers and condolences to all the families! |
Re: Drag racing accident in Texas.
Did that not happen last year at the same event?
I remember hearing about an accident like that last year at an airport in Texas... If they have had two such accidents, that is not only horrific, but also seems somehow negligent also... Sad for all involved. |
Re: Drag racing accident in Texas.
I just watched a online video of that incident---the driver lost control mid track and was fishtailing back and forth--- looks like he just kept his foot in it to try and beat the other racer -----never lifted until it was probably much too late ----wont bring em back lawsuits already being filed but maybe the spectators "agreed" to a waiver when they purchased a ticket--- I DON'T KNOW --so sad------------- FED 387
