Staging at Bandimere

I'll be heading off to the Mile High Nationals this week. Never been there before and I'm wondering where the early arrivals park. I expect to get there about 7pm on Wednesday, and I hope to be able to leave my open trailer and car parked amongst some other racers for the night. I'd hate to have to keep it in a hotel parking lot overnight. The schedule I saw has pit parking starting around 8am or so the next morning.

Anyone have information on how stacking works there?

Dave, from what I heard staging at the track does not open till 5:00 AM thurs. and gates open at 8:00 AM. Go in the racer entrance and they will guide you to the spectator parking lot to stage.
I would not recommend leaving your rig in a motel parking lot in this town.
I will PM you with better options. I live local and will be running this race also.

The past few years racers have been getting "in line" on Rooney Road in front of the track on Wednesday and waiting until Thursday morning to get into the track to wait to pit. Most waiting on Rooney Road are staying in their rigs. This might be an option for you. I agree with Jim, avoid taking your open trailer to a hotel parking lot. Hope this helps. Enjoy your visit to Bandimere!

Lane, I just looked at the final entry list for the Mile High's, and you plus several other in state racers aren't entered, which surprised me? My car's already in town, and I'll be there with my car Thursday morning as well. I guess I'll be the only 15 (14sec?) or slower car there this year. Hopefully that'll bode well for my unfinished business there!

Given only one pro class will have a full field (+, showing up), and only Top Dragster and Super Comp are close to a full field, It'll be interesting to see how many of us will actually have to pit in the North 40?

Honestly, it's not a very fun place in the middle of summer! Also, porta johns only!

We spent three days at the track pitted in the chip seal last month at the D5 race .. anything and everything you touched turned your hands black. The floor of my trailer was a mess, let alone my 2year old grandson who was collecting the rocks. Add to adventure.. I70 sucks for towing over the hill from the Western Slope... So we passed this year.

This is most likely where Stock will be. I was in the middle-ish of rigs coming in last year and getting towards the front of the line and Rob Parks told me "Stock on the north side". In the 20+ Mile Highs I've run I've been in the "North 40" in all but 3 times. It doesn't phase me anymore.

Quite a reputation that place has. It's a shame because it can be a very unique event.
The only redeeming factor is a low car count at a national event increases your chance to win the big Wally.
