66 Nova Parts Needed
 

I have a 1966 Nova SS 2 door hardtop. I need a pair of rear quarter glass access covers. They are made of sheet metal and the rear arm rests attach to them. None of the restoration parts suppliers makes this part. Does anyone have a parts car or know where I can find a pair? Send me an email. Thanks.

Thanks. I owned and raced this car in the 70s. It is an original L-79 car. And as much as I hated to sell it, I did. I found it and bought it back several years ago. Here is what it looks like today. It has been a slow process getting it restored.

Yep, it has a 4 speed just like back in the day. It even has a 350 horse 327 with an original Chevy II block and the correct heads, intake, and carb. I have got to get it finished so I can drive it around this summer.

We had 67 SS L79 motor was pulled and sent to Truppli King when they got done with it made 530 hp in dyno (roller motor). Had G60 tires on back, built powerglide, 456 12 bolt, took car to the track and ran 12.10 at 112 mph black tracking all the way through the traps. Got called to the tower, since we had no safety equipment they told me if that car hooks and exceeds 11.99 you are done..lol. this was 1983, I was wearing a helmet though..lol

Are they the same on a 65 car ?
