Where can a competitor watch the race?

NHRA Arizona National event, went to watch Prostock near starting line, was told several times to get out! Well we can’t sit in the stands! I asked the power hungry security guy where a competitor is to watch and he said get out or be thrown out! Where do we get to watch from? Way to improve the car count NHRA.

Tom, get ahold of Lonnie Grim immediately. He has vowed that he has
taken it upon himself to improve our experience. I think he means it.
He won't know what to fix or how to enhance our experience if we don't
tell him what the problems are.

I was told that the whole last grandstand on the pit side is general admission, we should be able to sit there.

We as racers pay a premium, we SHOULD Have the best seats in the house. It’s funny like the maple Grove national event I can’t go sit in the main stands some security guard will make me leave, but when I went to the thousand foot to sit in our “reserve” seats no one was there to keep all the other non racers out, so I couldn’t even get a seat there! most of the time we are limited to the fence. Sad!

What is really funny is when the Pro team races there are very many very many non-racers on the starting line with the cars amazing huh we cannot even get close to the starting line to watch our class ??? or Pro stock even

At Ennis last fall, I went up near the starting line on FRIDAY morning to watch stock / super stock stuff run. Rent-a-Cop ran me off. I was the ONLY person in that entire section. Seriously?

You guys should have been at St Louis national event last fall. I was there as a spectator on Friday. It was crazy the way they were treating people. You didn’t even have to stand at the fence. Stopping to tie your shoe was enough to get threatened with removal from the track. You absolutely could not be stationary between the grandstands and the fence.

When/why did they stop allowing people to stand at the fence? If it’s the rules it the rules. I’m just curious why.

I had a chat with Lonnie Grim and he said he was going to get a answer to the competitor viewing area this week.
