Any loss of life is regrettable, especially for the deceased's family.
Granted I haven't followed this case closely, but seems more like a training issue more than anything.
You would think you would know where you gun is?
Things happen quick, so some things need to be automatic, the only way to do that is practice, practice, practice.
(but I know you already know that)

But felons being felonious and getting killed seems like an occupational hazard to me.
I would not want be in law enforcement today.
Damned if you do, dead if you don't sometimes...
And it seems like the politicians and media are more and more on the side of the lawless.

I have to agree. She made an honest mistake. The conditions of her job put her in the position that she had to do something. I don’t believe for one second that she intended to shoot and kill the perp.

Just my opinion on watching the video. Once driver is out the car door should be shut or when second officer is on hand he could stand between driver and front seat to block entrance of vehicle. One of these 2 items would have helped in preventing driver from actually getting back into car. Also something to alter the feel or noise of stun gun when removed from its holster.

He should have shown respect for officers and not run/resist. Period!
It does not matter if your white black Hispanic or Asian.
Many criminals would still be alive. Why do the cops get the blame for doing their job.
I got into trouble as a kid several times. Some Cops treated me like **** but I was smart enough not to put myself into any opportunity to end like that. I believe respect, responsibly, and accountability is taught by parents. And sometimes church, Friends and family. It’s just not there in today’s world
No it was not a crime, a tragedy yes, and no families should profit from these deaths either.
