Heads-up races in A,B, and C/SA
If I was to put together a natural B
auto stocker that it could run under index in A,B, and/or C auto at the legal weights for those classes, but nowhere near the record(s), how would life be in Division 4? Would I constantly be encountering faster cars in A,B, and/or C auto? If one of those classes is heavily populated by fast cars, would changing the weight to go to another class make things better, or are all three of those classes heavily populated with fast cars? Would building it with three pedals materially reduce my chances of a heads-up race? |

D 4 If you build A,B or C car. You need to have your stuff together. Any day 10 to 12 cars per class. You need to be fast. Stick car another story. I may put a stick in my car. What the hell do I know I am old. Lol

If you build a stick car make sure it has RPM available. Some engines just make torque and no rpm.

I'm looking at the 1999-2002 Camaro with the 305/382 V8 engine. They don't cost a lot to buy these days, and most of them could get by without the expense of a paint job. I used to bracket race a 9,000 rpm stick car, and did okay with it, in spite of using an H-pattern shifter. A vertical-gate shifter would be legal for stock, right? Lol- a B/S race car- sounds like the punch line to a joke... |

By the way, why is the '98 Z28 shown in the guide with the LT1 engine instead of the LS engine?
If I can only find a '98, what would need to be changed to make it a '99, so that I could run the LS engine it came with? |
