Live from Lebanon Valley,NY- NHRA Lucas Oil meet
Hi kids - Seems like I keep going up and down Route 87 following the tour as this is the third time this month - hopefully this one will be fruitful .Pulled in this afternoon and was greeted by a gang of street cars coming in for Wednesday street night -reminds me of a zillion Wednesday nights I've spent at Englishtown doing some testing .
Anyhow it is really, really nice here today with temps in the high seventies and very sunny.Tomorrow its test n tune from 3 to 9 pm - plenty of parking so load up and head here - if you can believe the local weatherman the rest of the week looks super . FYI - Doesn't make sense but the Internet is slower than dialup but the TV reception ain't bad at all . Later ............... |

Another beautiful day here at the Valley - Sun is brite with the temp in the high 70's already - couldn't ask for more .
Rigs are rolling in at a fast pace and it's filling up - if you aren't here already better get moving .Pit spaces are nicely cut and the track had some hook last night for the muffler cars with slicks .We'll find out this afternoon ........ |
Re: Live from Lebanon Valley,NY- NHRA Lucas Oil meet
So there is a flyer in our goodie bag that states we will start the test n tune at 11 this morning - not sure which is correct but i'll find out .........

Jack has it right, place is filling up fast. I was told they have over 400 pre entered tech cards. Plenty of cars testing, track was marginal for the high hp cars on 9” tires. Test session was run well, they called up the different classes in sessions, with designated lanes. I made 3 runs by 6:30 and I skipped a few of the calls. Stock is out first at 8:30 sharp tomorrow morning. Probably be the quickest qualifying session of the weekend. Be tuned into d1 tv for all the action.

Test n tune went OK - track was decent for most .But here's the thing - my hot rod is broke as it still has engine issues so we bagged it so I will live another day.Good luck to all ……...
