EPA. Fines automotive tuner $18000. RPM act
Just watch a video PFI speed fined $18000 for selling aftermarket parts.
Not installing them. Jegs and Summit out of stock on basic parts Is this the reason manufacturers are having a hard time supplying parts for us racers? I’m hearing it’s hard to get basic race parts for a small block Chevy. I wonder if they can fine car owners for installation of parts. Proof is in the pudding. The RPM act is hammering small companies for selling parts Emissions proof stuff. Not going after the manufacturer. Killing the small guy. Big brother is watching and trying to kill people ps lively hood. EPA is like the IRS. Makes rules as they go. Woke American is scary. Check out his video. Scary stuff. |

James ,You are misinterpreting what the RPM Act is.
First , the bill HR 3281 has not been passed yet , AND its purpose it to help protect motorsports from actions by the EPA regarding race only vehicles. .......It was written with much input by SEMA . It will not however protect modifications on street driven cars that are subject to EPA rules. Fire up that keyboard and contact your congressional representative and insist they back the bill. We may not have much of a chance of it even going up for a vote in this congress , but it never hurts to make your representative know you're informed about it ,and let them know your vote will go to someone who will support it . Here's a link to the SEMA site to contact your representative. https://www.votervoice.net/SEMA/campaigns/45394/respond |

Re: EPA. Fines automotive tuner $18000. RPM act
The RPM act is intended to defeat the current EPA proposal to ban any automobile built for passenger car use for use in any racing activity. If the EPA ruling is enforced, then it basically saysd any vehicle that has or had a VIN number cannot legally by used by any form of motorsports.

Nameless, faceless, unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats, justifying their existence and their budgets by creating solutions to problems that they also created. Legislator, judge, jury, executioner - all under one roof. You submit or face legal and/or financial suicide. I don't believe the framers intended for us to be governed this way.
Lazy, useless Congress people and Senators relinquishing authority to these tyrants and giving them the power and jurisdiction over the lives of every single person in this country. Thus insulating themselves from criticism for causing any of it and/or being directly responsible for the actions of these agencies. And now, we have to beg Congress to protect us from these dictators. These alphabet agencies, and the people who run them, had been largely held in check by the leaders who had been appointed by the previous administration. Now? It's an all out blitz to take as much as they can in the 2 years they have to do so. The automobile hobbies and way of life, along with a few other areas of interest that don't meet the approval of the current group calling the shots, are under assault. Businesses just stop developing and producing out of fear. Intimidation is SOP. We shouldn't have to become activists to try protect our avocations and vocations from these people. |
