Short term is shot. Tony Hewes, Mark Kirby, Jeff Jerome, Len Schneider and I think Brian Phillips. Those are the third round winners I believe. Third or fourth anyway. Paul Haszlauer |

Re: Sacramento N.O. ??
It was a real spin fest out there today.
Many races Settled on the start line when one of the cars blew away tires. I can not even remember then last time my Demon ever spun the tires = 2nd round it did not even move a foot and exploded the tires even with 150 Lbs of lead bolted in the trunk!!! |

Soooo Basically the track was as well prepared as the pitting Area? The site looks like Mars from the satellite pics. Sounds like it's managed by The Govenor of California too from this report. Sacramento Dragway falls where on the do no ever go to dragways list? #1? |
Re: Sacramento N.O. ??
The stock/superstock combo was last in the rotation. There were a ton of Jr dragsters. Then they only dragged the tires behind the tractor for maybe one pass in both lanes after them. I think they sprayed the track once in the morning. Then super classes tearing up the track with their short burps on the starting line. Not that friendly for 9" tires.

Re: Sacramento N.O. ??
We went to a N/O at Rocky Mountain and attempted to run Stock / Super Stock after the Jr. Dragsters. The first pair left the line sideways because the Jr Dragsters put anything that they can think of to get the tires to work and I have seen WD-40, diesel fuel additive and anything else that they can think of applied to their tires.
I approached the Starter and suggested that they drag and spray a few times to fix the track and he refused. At that point I informed him that having knowledge of a dangerous situation and taking NO ACTION to correct it would leave leave him potentially responsible for any injuries and exposed to prosecution for Criminal Negligence. I went up to the 2 cars in the water box and informed the that it was too dangerous to race. They shut down and then a “Management Decision” was made and the track was fixed to make it safe for racing…. |
