Memorial Day

Remember them, live for them, and be thankful for them.

Re: Memorial Day

To fallen soldiers let us sing,
Where no rockets fly nor bullets wing;
Our broken brothers let us bring
To the mansions of the Lord.

No more bleeding, no more fight,
No prayers pleading through the night;
Just divine embrace, eternal light
In the mansions of the Lord.

Where no mothers cry and no children weep,
We shall stand and guard
though the angels sleep;
All through the ages safely keep
The mansions of the Lord.

Re: Memorial Day

And we remember those who gave all, as well as those who gave and are still with us. Many who went and are still with us are still giving today, and we thank you. John 15:13 states" Greater love hath no man that he lay down his life for his friends".Thank you all, thanks to Eddie for his continued efforts on behalf of our veterans with the VA.

As we celebrate this day, let us not forget those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice and the men and women that serve now. It is thanks to those sacrifices that we have the FREEDOM that we have today.

Yes, our country may have some issues, but I can't imagine living anywhere else. Thank GOD For AMERICA- -The Land of the FREE because of the BRAVE.

I had a great Company Commander who was killed in 2004, and our kids were close to the same age and I can't imagine the pain and sorrow they must have felt growing up without a father. My heart heart goes out to them.

Also, I had a cousin killed in Vietnam, he was an only child, I can't imagine the pain and sorrow my aunt and uncle must have felt as well.

And yes also to the one gentleman that mentioned some are "still giving"; as a retired Marine, I know fir a fact many friends of mine are still giving as well as their famiilies.

May God bless them all!
