Unofficial Live From the Southern Sportsman Showdown
 

Since we don’t have one of our official Live From reporters here yet I’ll start this thread for people to add to. So far beautiful weather, lots of time to do maintaince and see racers from all over the country. So far I think Cal and Mary Am Method have the llong distance award. About 45-50 Rigs here and parked. Lots of bench racing and an unofficial Monday night welcome party at Stan and Shelia Holts. You had to be there I have video but am not smart enough to post it or any pictures. Hopefully others can do that. Mike McMahan 2543 H(maybe)/SA

First thing Bo said when we pulled in was “ Anything you need just let me know, Thanks for being here” and every time you see him he asks if you need anything.

So far the "vibe" is just a little different then what we experienced at Gville over the last 10 days! LMAO!! Hospitality is off the chain. Lets get this party started!

PS Mike please tell me your not dropping to I....... If so I gotz some work to do!! LOL!

PPS Any golfers out there we are arranging a lil outing tomorrow (Wednesday) morning. We're the first trailer inside the south gate.

Because of a iffy Thursday weather forecast they have added a test and tune tomorrow Wednesday from 12-6. If the weather cooperates they will run another test session on Thursday.

I did a Google Map search and the place looks very nice. It can be seen from the interstate and is only a couple of turns and you are there. Good luck and everybody have as much fun as possible. Cal and Mary Ann are there, VERY COOL. Great people and true legends from the Northwest.

If you get the chance, get Cal to talk about racing "back in the day" - - very impressed by his memory and knowledge.

I'm heading down in the morning hope to roll in about 2PM...
hopefully weather will change and get some test runs in..
and get my pickup tent and air mattress ready.. actually it's pretty cozy for me..
there is showers at the track right?
