Patterson Elite 4GC carb spacer
 

This is the trick Patterson elite 2” tapered spacer made for 4GC, was definitely worth some hp in my 283, well worth the investment for someone running a 283 or 327 combo, I will not be running a 283 combo any longer after we blew it up last season, $400 firm, this is almost brand new only used it for 15 passes or less. They are $450 plus shipping new!

Tim ... have you received the "trick spacer yet " ... sounds like a Mr.gasket or Trans dapt aluminum spacer thats been put in a Bridgeport mill and had the top side milled on a angle .. I made one in the late 70.s for my 283 SS er and it made quite a change in performance especially with a lot of front end lift on launch as the spacer levelled off the 4gc carb angle on top of manifold and fixed a slight stumble

There is definitely a lot more to the spacer than what you speak of, I used it this past season and there was some advantage to it for sure, it’s been sold and going to another fellow 283 SS car, I’m sure they will also find the advantage to it, it’s not just the angle that makes this spacer “trick”
