Darwin Doll

Sad words come to us that the last surviving member of the original NHRA Division Directors, Darwin Doll, passed away. He along with Darrel Zimmerman (who passed earlier this year), Buster Couch, Bob Daniels, Dale Ham, Terrell Poage, Bernie Partridge; along with Wally Parks, Bill “Farmer” Dismuke and Jack Hart, were involved with all the decisions for the then growing NHRA.

Our condolences go out to his family and he will be missed, but his contributions to the sport will always live on.

Greg X. was 100 times a better Div. 1 director.

Is this really the appropriate time and place to say this?
Your negativity on these forums is incredible.

RIP to Mr. Doll.

R.I.P Darwin.

What These first directors and Wally had to endure and put up with is incredible.. Their achievements are note worthy and are a testament to what they strived for in those early years. My hat is off to that first group of brave pioneers of the sport.
