Roger Caster
 

I never got to meet Roger but I owe him a big thank you. I was friends with John Turley R.I.P. for over 30 years and learned most of my go fast info from him and 95% of the time after the lesson he would say Caster showed me that. Caster was runner up to Hyden Profitt at the 64 AHRA winter nationals driving one of Profitt’s cars. Roger owned Gas Ronda’s thunderbolt and 68 cobra jet mustang. He was also one of the builders and driver of Grady Bryant’s sump’n else. He was the 1968 div. 4 points champ in the mustang. He was Turley’s crew chief for several years and they set several records also wrenched on several other people cars I heard. Purty sure I recently ran across his obituary from 2018 and no mention of any drag racing which I find a same. Not sure if this is the right place to post this.
So here’s my thanks Roger R.I.P.
