IT Help Needed
 

I’ll start this thread here, Ken may move it to the Tech section, but bottom line I, we need help.
Problem is how do we resend the same Tech card and waver information to NHRA without spending two hours every race? For us copy and paste does not work. There should be some way to speed this up. Most racers run the same car in the same class so the car information does not change. If class is changed then the Tech card would change.

It wouldn't be that hard to come up with a system to do that...or modify the existing national event entry system.

Yes Pleeeeese, what Larry said. Since I'm unable to "wrench" a computer, I have to ask my sweet wife each time I need to enter and the tech card problem has severely diminished her sweet nature. Also I'm a flip phone guy and if they can hand me a fuel check cup, they can hand me a time slip.

Don't understand why they cannot use the online tech card for everything, tell racer's to keep it up to date and correct. Anytime I go to an event I update mine if I am changing classes, etc. They don't seem to use that info for anything.

I use my phone for nearly everything nowadays and it has autofill so it makes it much easier and alot less time consuming especially for us hunt and peck typers.

I have been looking after Jeanie, instead of racing, this year.

I have already quit going to National events other than the Sports from the fact that I was fined 250.00 for losing a engine in the 5th round at Indy a few years ago. If NHRA continues to require pre-entry at points meets with no refunds if you cannot attend , I will start attending more combos, local races and some MNCA if time allows. There is no reason to eliminate time slips ,entry at the gate and tech. I guess they are waiting for the first wreck on the return road from someone looking at their phone before this BS is addressed. There are more places to race and spend money on that treat you much better . Ive been a member of NHRA for so long that I cant even remember when I joined , and watched it go down hill way to much for my liking and believe me i am not
alone with these concerns . Rick .
