Hurricane Dorian
Charleston is getting pounded by Dorian with very strong wind and heavy rain. I wish everyone along the coast the very best through this hurricane. God bless.

Re: Hurricane Dorian
Unfortunately all I can say is here we go again. Things had just got back to normal for many in this area and now here we go with this one. The outer edges of the storm have just started coming onshore here and have already spawned several tornadoes in the area. Good luck to my fellow coastal folks and keep your heads down!

Re: Hurricane Dorian
We’re back home (1/2 mile from the coast) just south of Savannah and we dodged a bullet as did some of my friends just north of Charleston. Dorian going right for NC, hope it eases. Been thinking and praying for you guys Cooter!
Hopefully organizations and individuals will contribute to the Bahamas relief aid. Those poor folks got hammered. |
Re: Hurricane Dorian
Sorry to disappoint a lot of you guys as the storm missed me. I'm just south of Sebring Raceway in the middle of the state about an hour from Bradenton race track. No wind, and not a drop of rain.
I wish you and the rest of the racing families in the way of the storm lots of luck. I got hammered 2 years ago in the Hurricane that came thru here but survived. The best of luck to and your family HR9121 |

Re: Hurricane Dorian
It doesn't take long to remember what these things are like, the last couple of hours things are starting to get real. That said I don't recall this many tornadoes in a storm, I believe we have had 10 or so tornado warnings in the last few hours. At one point this week I thought about going to Epping for the division race but decided it was too far of a tow but about right now I wish I could reconsider that.

Re: Hurricane Dorian
Hopefully that damn thing will be out of your hair soon and you get through with out any damage. Your town does not need this after what happened with the last storm. Stay safe!!
Here in Florida we really dodged a bullet with a cat 5 hurricane just 100 miles off of the east coast. Someone was looking out for us. The islands in the Bahamas that took a direct hit are pretty much destroyed. The people in Florida are rallying to help with lots of donations of needed supplies. My wife went to the grocery store last night and purchased a box of food and supplies to be sent there. It will be a long road back for those over there. |
