Jim I talked with Dennis Robbins a while ago, as many of you know Dennis traveled with Mickey to all the races. Dennis said his dad Leon came home and found him this evening in the house. Mickey's health had not been good for a while and was in need of a liver transplant.
Mick was a great friend who would do anything in the world for you and was the King of BS as many others can attest to. He will be sorely missed by many without a doubt. If Mickey couldn't make you laugh then there was just no hope for you! And you know they got all tangled up down at the scales! RIP my friend

I was really hoping this was not true but unfortunately it is. His unique personality will be greatly missed by all down here in D2. RIP my friend. Jim

I'm heartbroken, Mickey was a good racer, and a very good friend. The world, and drag racing in general, lost a lot. I'll miss him terribly.

RIP Mickey I’m so glad you considered me a friend. We hit it off right away
Always the life of the party . Weather it was a poker game or racing you always made me laugh . God speed my brotha me and Karen miss you much.
