I am looking for a pair of 997 283 heads. Need late 56 or fairly early 57 date code, prefer unmolested stock castings. They were used on every 57 Corvette except the FI cars. 1 888 927 2079 toll free. or E-mail KVIAUTOGUY@aol.com.

We bought a set from a guy i wisconsin, awhile back, he has alot of block,s and heads, he advertises in hemming,s... can,t remember his name but i,m sure i can find it, he helped us out on a 65 F/I corvette... dennis

Have bare block 3731548 dated 5-17-57 but I guess you wanted older than that date.

Tim Does the date code on the block have a single digit or double digit casting for the year. I think the guy that rocket works is talking about is CLASSICENGINECOMPANY.com. Thanks Mario.

The casting is E 18 7 --- no motor mount holes
