Sacramento dragway

What is Sacramento dragway like traction wise do they do a decent prep job. I have not been there in over 20 years I understand it is going to close at some point next year. There is a National open there the beginning of May. Would you rate there traction good average or poor. How does it compare to Fontana dragway traction wise. . I know it is old but more interested in how there traction is at a good event. I don't want to drive 6 hours to smoke the tires.

Good but you should have a spotter line you up starting about 3 cars in advance.

Oh - and avoid being behind a stick shift car (track stealers)

The air can be exceptional in the morning.

Use to be home for us.

I'm not local at all but have been at the national open race there in the spring last several years and the traction has been excellent.

Track is always good at the National Open, seems like there are records set every year.

As it stands now Sacramento is likely the fastest track in division 7..

A lot of records have been set there....

If you want to take a shot, a National Open is the place to do it...

One of the truly consistent bonehead schedule moves has been that the Sac Open is on the same weekend as the Boise Div. I am sure that both races suffer on car count because of this.

It's 20 feet downhill.

Nope....

Anything over 13.2 feet either down or up hill gets a correction factor...

I remember back to when they checked the wind speed on record runs..

Just sayin'
