First of all I want to say I am not accusing anyone if cheating. I don't even know if this is possible. Can a car equipped with one of the new digital ignition boxes that can be programed to add or subtract timing as you go down the racetrack be interfaced with an onboard computer [ like a racepak ] that has a driveshaft sensor so the car will know how quick you are goping and adjust the timing to make your car run a certain number ?
This sounds like a very complicated thing to me, however I'm not real savy when it comes to electronics and computers.

Most likely not on the drive shaft...probably on the front wheel...Mattys origional drawing (as per the patent) was on the drive shaft, but minute tire spin will throw this off, therefore, it goes to the front wheel! Do you know of any cars that have done good in the past that didnt leave with the wheels up, or at least one on the ground...Ive seen a couple this year! One at bakersfield, another at woodburn! Long story short, very possible...Oh hell, Now we got to get rid of all but one ignition box, time for another rule change!

not to steal to your thread greg but I was wondering if a trans brake can be put in the valve body and activated wireless???

Yes, it would be possible and probally pretty easy for someone well versed in controls.

That is why only one of the Digital MSD boxes is legal in NHRA competition.

The Matty setup is near worthless these days, the 4-step could be of some use though.

Davis Technologies offers wireless traction control system for their distributors, but an HEI looks real out of place on a bracket car, maybe not so much on a Stocker or Super Stocker.

to the best of my knowledge last time i spoke with nhra tech, the only illegal box is the 7531 "traction control" box all other digitals are legal

greg i am with you... im too dumb to figure it out... but i feel sure someone is smart enough...

there are sensors the roundy round guys use that pinpoint the location of the car, if timed with the twostep button could calculate the location / time and adjust et easily... and thats hardware

anyway the less electronics the better

They are called Transponders...you can get them the size of a postage stamp and remotely control anything you want if you know what you are doing... ;)
