Racer in Need on I-44 in Missouri
All,
A fellow D4 Super Street racer was travelling from Chicago to Tulsa for the division race this weekend. In the process, the motorhome shut off and will not start back. I know that it has a CAT motor in the motorhome and is a newer model. They are currently at the Hood's Service Center at mm 61 on I-44 in Missouri. Anyone that has any CAT or other motorhome knowledge may want to see if they can call them and provide assistance. I am not completely aware of what is going on, just trying to pass some information along. Dell and Suzanne Hall 254-749-4879 |

While I have no experience with the newer CAT engines, I have heard that they really, really, like clean fuel filters. So I would put some new fuel filters on fuel...possibly a cheap fix.
Just a thought. |
Re: Racer in Need on I-44 in Missouri
Austin we run some CAT's any idea what year it is. As Mr Grubbs said fuel can be a sensitive issue on them or in particular if it senses water in the fuel. Other than that there's not alot you can tell them on a CAT without hooking a computer to it.

Re: Racer in Need on I-44 in Missouri
It was towed to a CAT dealer in Missouri and is currently being checked out.
Sounds like he will not make Tulsa and they had to grab a hotel. |
Re: Racer in Need on I-44 in Missouri
Hope he has towing coverage of some type ---that has to cost some serious money!!!!!!
