What fuel?

Just wondering what fuel everyone is using?

With the comp car we are mandated a spec fuel, but obviously in stock it's not that way. So I'm wondering how many people stayed with VP and if you switched to sunoco what you are using.

Re: What fuel?

I started running Sunoco last year simply because of availability at the track. I have run the 112 but started running the 110 standard this year. I have had no issues with fuel check and overall have been satisfied.

Sunoco 110, been using it since 2009 - well satisfied. Failed a fuel check a couple of years ago that turned out to be a knuckle-headed mistake of adding VP without completely purging the fuel system. Not a Sunoco issue, but thought I'd share that.

I have been using Sunoco blue in my low compression SS. Found no difference from VP C12. Might even try the 110 standard

I switched to Sunoco when they became the official fuel, but wound up switching back to VP. I was not happy with my results with Sunoco fuels.

Of the several brands of race fuel legal in Stock, Renegade has become a favorite.

Sunoco purple. Readily available, cheap price ($9.40/gal), keeps fresh for long periods, and passes fuel check.

So is drag racing in general - fuel is one of the smaller amounts in the cost spreadsheet.

Passing fuel check every single time and performance consistency - is priceless

C25 is $3 a gallon more than C14+.

To each his own.
