Mary Ann Jackson
 

Inducted in to the Mopar Hall Of Fame this past weekend at Carlisle Pa. was Mary Ann(Foss) Jackson. . She drove a 68 Hemi Dart in SS/BA . Mary Ann started racing in 1964 in D/SA 58 Pont that she won class at Indy in 64, then bought Wes Koogles 65 Dodge when he died and won numinous divisional races in 66, lost to Grump at World Finals in the semi's. Got the 68 dart long before Shirley Shahan or Judy Lilly got their cars, first woman to win a AHRA nat event, and still "racing" today. I am very proud of her accomplishment.

A well deserved honor !
I wish more of the young female racers knew more of her accomplishments in a male dominated era.

Congratulations Mary Ann, I used to watch you almost every week at Kil Kare raceway in Xenia, Ohio, 1964,65-------you beat a lot of the best then and you're still doing it. Congratulations from Jetty and Dave Edwards.
