I will be heading west this morning to Joliet and will file a report from the track later this afternoon. Earlier in the week it appeared that weather would again be an issue but the latest forecast indicates there may be some intermittent showers on Saturday that would present some minor schedule adjustments. For those that are curious this forecast image below is from weather underground.

Does anyone know how late the track is selling tech cards on Friday? I called the track office today and they weren't sure but thought it was 1pm. I hope that isn't correct. I'd like to work as long as I can tomorrow and get there in time for the cleanup run.

The flyer says tech opens at 7 am closes at 7 pm

It's an absolutely perfect weather day in Joliet today. The track opened at 2:00 and the long line of rigs stacked at the circle track is being admitted in batches.

Pits are filling in nicely and Tech is done for the day. No drama or excitement to report just yet. We start with qualifying tomorrow morning.

Good morning let's start off Friday with a look at the forecast for the weekend. The forecast chart below from weather underground shows less risk of the racing being interrupted by rain On Saturday. It will be a warm weekend with temperatures well in to the 80s.

Division 3 will be using text alerts this weekend to notify racers when it's their turn to run.
