Cam break in
 
Anyone, I have a new cam I am going to break in on the dyno with smith lifters ,then change to the solids ,how much time should I have on it be switching,.? 145 seat pressure.

I thought the reason to breakin a cam was to mate in the lifters to the cam lobes . Switching to new lifters after the "breakin" would seem to defeat the purpose .

Are you planning to raise seat pressure after breaking in?

We run a bunch more seat pressure than that!

No John these are regular lifters in a 454 , I have had to many go flat.
