How many passes can a guy put on a set of tires before 60fts state going away? Thanks Jake from MN

That is a loaded question. Auto, Stick, Bias, Radial, how long of a burn out, engine combo are all factors that have a bearing on tire life. The best indicator is your time slip.

Powerglide, bias ply, 3300lb car 450hp short burnout.

Fairly heavy car,not a lot of HP,bias ply slicks, I would run those suckers till you start seeing cords...or they start spinning

I used to get 250+ passes (1/4 mile) going 10.00 with 29x10.5's Hoosiers @ 18 - 20psi, would still work with cords showing, that is when they got tossed! 3300lbs 1.80 Powerglide 4.30 gears at the time, 5500 rpm convertor. Put a lot of nitrous passes on them too going 8.8 @ 155+..........
