The latest rule 2017 rule revision for Stock Eliminator shows that a Ford 9" rear end is now allowed on any 2008 or newer car.

I would read that if the vehicle came from the factory with independent rear suspension .

Correct.
That will be an expensive change.
I know they are being offered by G Performance Engineering for several makes and they are not cheap.
