SFI Spec 16.1 seat belts
 

Need new belts soon. Per the rule book, belts must meet SFI 16.1. I see 16.1 belts with both 2" and 3" submarine belts. Are the 2" legal for stock? I can't find anything in the general regulations that specifies. I seem to recall a while back that the requirement was 3".
for clarity, my question is only in regard to the submarine belt....not the shoulder and lap belts.

The 2017 NHRA rulebook under DRIVER RESTRAINT SYSTEM in all categories no longer specifies the width of any belt. It only specifies that the belts must meet SFI Spec 16.1 or SFI Spec 16.5.

I have been using a 2'' crotch strap for 8 years now. the rest of the belts are 3'' if that helps.
