Amazon is your friend...GForce full face helmets with SA2010 or even SA2015 rating are less than $200...M2015 are cheaper. My GForce has a large opening which makes glasses easier. Ever since Ken Etter's accident at Fontana years ago I won't use open face but that's just me.

Search Amazon for helmet with whatever rating you're comfortable with.

I can`t recall seeing them advertise recently, but I bought my last helmet, a Pyrotech SA2010) from Helmet City in California. Good customer service, good prices and selection, quick shipping. I would use them again.

Hey Grandpa, reach into the mattress and grab a handful. You only have one noggin, protect it as as well as you can.

Why not buy american made and buy Impact, or RJS? See if any of the others state where they are made. That goes for Bell, Simpson, and GForce. Impact is made in Indy, and RJS is made in Michigan.

Ken, we had some interesting discussions about full face helmets at the show. My current helmet is open face. Had always had full face ones prior, including motorcycle helmets, and will be going with a full face one again. I just never felt comfortable with the open front. There are a lot of variations in full face openings view wise, with many having such small openings they wouldn't be street legal. Yes two helmets is expensive, until you see a brain injury recovery.

Found this study interesting, even though it is of motorcycle riders.

Vic, go to a motorcycle dealer, they have a full array of them, plus you can get the best fit instead of relying on a mail order size.

U/SA can also be used as vase.

Re: helmet

In an accident I had in 1999 I had a closed face with the big opening for my glasses. A piece of guard rail wooden post still got inside and damaged my face and eye. I won't even consider an open faced.
