gearing race car
Question:
If you had a 3815 # car w/396/375 peak hp @ 6800 thru 7200 RPM rear gear 12 bolt 1st gear (tran) th 400 2nd gear tran th 400 what would you want and why? thanks sb |
Re: gearing race car
Going to need rear tire size ( roll out), and probably torque converter stall speed. I`m sure somebody running that Top Stock combo could help put you in the ball park, without all the numbers, but the data would help:)

Re: gearing race car
Just to tie things together here, he posted this info in another thread.
"30 x 9 x 15 -94 rol out 6000 stal" EDIT: Sandi: Use the Post Reply button rather than the New Thread one when continuing an existing topic. Dale |
Re: gearing race car
a typical A/SA combo would use a 4.88 or a 5.00 if you can find a set.
