BBC Valves 11/32 Stem

Anybody have a source for BBC valves 2.25 & 1.88 with 11/32"stems? I found some Ferrea types for $40 each but looking for something cheaper. To be used in a bracket motor.

Manley Severe Duty valves are available everywhere for under $30 each .
Cheap valves are just cheap to buy , when the head comes off one of the intakes and takes out your piston ,head and maybe the whole engine ,they aren't cheap anymore.
And yes ,I have personally been taught this lesson , more than once .
Don't take this as a knock, but most Bracket racers tend to believe lower spring pressures make the engine live longer , but nothing could be further from the truth .
Higher spring pressures help keep the valve from bouncing when closing , this especially true with a BBC intake valve.
Valve bounce causes most failures .

I understand that. I m trying to take weight out of the valve train and the heads have 11/32 guides already. I wanted a valve that is narrowed behind the head also. Are tool steel retainers a good move?

Yes, as to the tool steel retainers. Also just to add many Edelbrock BBC heads are equipped with 11/32 stem valves ... just sayin ... And I think I have a set of Dart Pro 1 heads that came with 11/32 as I recall

Brian, FYI...

I ran Manley Severe Duty 11/32" stem valves, 2.25/1.88 in my cast iron oval port heads atop my roller cammed 700+HP 468 BBC bracket engine for many years and thousands of passes turning 7400rpm in the lights. Those valves were actuated with Manley polished Nextek springs # 221443P 235 closed/610 open. Never broke a valve, valve spring, rocker arm, rocker stud, etc.

Further, the valves in my Brodix 3 xtra heads atop my 522 are 11/\32" stem as are the valves in my Brodix HH heads atop my 600" engine.
