National Champions
I took a look at the points for Super Stock and Stock. Looked at points that could be improved and remaining races.
It appears that Jimmy DeFrank is untouchable and stock is a 2 horse race with Burton having the best opportunity to improve. Country Puppy has outside shot, I think. Am I looking at it correctly? ???? |
Re: National Champions
Pretty close, Puppy doesn't have a shot, has 1 national left to improve on and could count 44 more points, I was hoping for him, but still fantastic showings and top ten in both Stock and Super Stock. Yes he has good equipment, but he is one helluva driver at both ends of the track.
There are still some people that could catch Jimmy D. but he can improve also. I am pulling for him, a true gentleman. J.R. |

Still too early to determine.

Re: National Champions
I'm surprised he doesn't show any points in Stock, or there's a posting error for Jimmy DeFrank in Stock? I thought he ran both the Az., and Ca., races plus was there for the spring 'Vegas Div, or am I mistaken? Well I see him on the entry list for Stock in both final national events, so I'll root for him too, just as long as he's not an opponent of mine though, lol! :)
Moreover, in D7 Stock points Scott Burton is looking very good, but Tibor Kadar is lurking near him, and since he only has claimed 4 divisionals, he has more to gain from the re-run of the spring 'Vegas div. race than Scott does, so it may be good to be Scott, but it could be great to be Tibor!!!! |

I recall reading somewhere that Jimmy and family wanted to concentrate on Super Stock this year, thus they have not been racing the Stocker....until this coming Las Vegas. Good folks. Good luck to the DeFrank family.... |
