Harlan Updike passes
I read on Pacemakers Dragway's page that Harlan Updike passed away last night. God Speed.

Harlan was a fixture at Pacemakers…a track that’s been around since the mid-fifties.
The US Nationals just finished a couple of days ago. 30 years ago, Harlan was standing there at the starting line in the final, when his good buddy Roy Dean runner-upped with their R/SA Chevy wagon to Gary Long’s F/S Mercury. Harlan was also one of few that could say: Yes, I ran a Hudson Hornet 308 in NHRA stock eliminator. |

I always enjoyed watching his vintage Chevy Stockers run.It took me back in time to the good old days of Stock.RIP Harlan

Harlan had quite a rough time over the past few years. I knew him from the late 70's and the man never changed. Godspeed my friend......
