"almost" Live from Quaker City's Buckeye SS/Stk combo Aug 6
I'm less then 2 hours away, and will be there Friday night:
This weekend will be the third race of the 2016 season for the Buckeye S/SS Drag Racing Series presented by Columbus Joint & Clutch. The race will be at Quaker City Raceway Park in Salem Ohio. The gates open at 10 am and they run juniors and TCR first. Big car time trials start at 1:00 pm. Not sure yet of the run order. We get two time runs as usual. Don't forget the Mid Ohio Paving Dial for Dollars for the first time run. Put a dial on the car, closest to dial wins $100. Parsons and Myers Racing Engines also rewards the Best First Round Winning Package a $100 payout. There will be a $10 gate fee for our racers and then you come to our trailer for a tech card. The tech card is our entry of $100. Spectator fees apply to extra persons with you. See the Quaker City Motorsports Park website for spectator fees. Racers can test and tune Friday evening and stay over if they want or they can pay the $10 gate fee without test and tune and stay over. After the race on Saturday night you can stay overnight and leave Sunday morning if you so choose. Come out and race with us to get qualified for the year end Championship Runoff, also to be held at QCMP. If there are any questions you can call me at 740-359-5877. Also note that in two weeks, August 20th, we will run the rescheduled Pacemakers race at Kil Kare Dragway in Xenia. This is to be run along with the Gathering of Geezers event that a Nostalgia type event. More info will be forthcoming. Thanks, Jeff Ross & Nitro Joe Jackson/Buckeye Stock/SuperStock Drag Racing Series |
