.90 Racers at the 4-wides....Super Comp & Gas going 4-wide??

Super Gas and Super Comp on the Four-Wide: We would like to notify you of some changes to the upcoming NHRA 4-Wide Nationals presented by Lowes Foods for Super Comp and Super Gas, time trials will be run in the 4-wide format. We believe, and hope you agree, this is a tremendous opportunity as the first ever Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series category running in the 4-wide format. As a result of this opportunity FS1 will feature your category as part of their overall event coverage. Your category was originally scheduled for 2 time trials will now have 4 time trials, with each session having lane assignments. These changes will not affect eliminations which will remain in the traditional 2-lane format.

We appreciate your support in the change and hope you are as equally excited as we are for this opportunity.

I think it kind of dumb. Granted I only do one national event a year. But I still go with one intention. Everyone says the fans are not there to watch sportsman, so why add them to clown show.

Hopefully NHRA lets the racers know up front what 2 lanes will be used for eliminations. That way someone can decide if they want to skip a time trial.
