RIP Steven Smith
 

Linda Smith, My friend Steven's wife, ask me to post this.
Steven was a life long friend and was a part of my racing life as well as personal life. He was the Smith in the Fair/Smith Top Alcohol Dragster
During his 60 year life he raced cars, boats and an A/ED Comp Dragster as well as the Top Alcohol Dragster (A/fuel Dragster).
He was an outstanding Christian individual and good Friend to a lot of racers.

in a freak testing accident at
Thunder Road Raceway
Gilliam, LA

Just arrived in Shreveport, La. yesterday afternoon and this was the lead story on the news. Thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends.

Steven was my VP fuel man. Very nice person. We can only pray for the entire family and friends. RIP my friend. God will help this entire family thru this trying time.

Steven left a mark on everyone he met, a pure gentleman for sure. I will always remember his soft spoken voice. My Condolences to Steven's family.
