Ozzy Moya Buys Emerald Coast (Holt) Dragway
 

It's official! Ozzy Moya has bought yet another dragstrip! This time it is Emerald Coast Dragway, also known as Holt. The 1/8th mile track is located right off of I10 in the panhandle near Holt Florida. This deal has been a long time coming and was a hard fought win. Ozzy currently owns Orlando Speed World, Lakeland Dragway and South Georgia Motorsports Park in Cecil GA. Ozzy reports the closing will be on February 26th. Holt was a long time IHRA track but no indications at this time if it will stay IHRA. Currently all of the tracks Ozzy owns are IHRA sanctioned. Improvements and upgrades will begin shortly. This is fantastic news for all my friends out in the "panhandle". I raced at Emerald Coast in the early 2000's. It was a great 1/8th mile facility... Yes it has gone thru many changes since then and hasn't been in operation for several years... I know it was a challenge to get this property out of the legal system... Good for Ozzie!!!!

That is fantastic. Could be a potentially great schedule for the SSSSA. At the current pace Ozzy could be eyeing Immokalee and Bradenton, then go after PBIR and then Gainesville.

I can see it now, he has all the tracks, leverage on the sanctioning bodies instead of the other way around. His response to their offers...."are you a good witch or a bad witch"
