IHRA Division 1 Schedule
Didn't see an announcement about it on the website but, just happened to take a peek and there is was on the website:
So Lew can officially finish out his schedule. A few monkey wrenches I do see in this schedule is....MIR is on top of Bristol and Empire is on top of the Cecil LODRS. June 17, 2016 Summit Pro-Am Tour | Division 1 (Double Event) Series: Division I Maryland International Raceway Friday, June 17, 2016 - Sunday, June 19, 2016 July 08, 2016 Summit Pro-Am Tour | Division 1 and 3 (Double Event) Series: Division I Pittsburgh Raceway Park Friday, July 08, 2016 - Sunday, July 10, 2016 August 19, 2016 Summit Pro-Am Tour | Division 1 (Double Event) Series: Division I Empire Dragway Friday, August 19, 2016 - Sunday, August 21, 2016 |

WOW a little surprised only 3 races in D1. and Empire on top of Cecil really hurts. WOW Cal S/ST HR 1177 |
Re: IHRA Division 1 Schedule
Doesn't make any sense. I can think of about 20 cars the race at mir loses because they schedule against bristol.

Re: IHRA Division 1 Schedule
Thanks, Rob! :)
This schedule is a bit of a surprise! I know that this season's Richmond race was a mess (for the IHRA, the track and the racers from outside the division who traveled there that weekend!), but not to be on the schedule for next year is problematic, as the Davis Family has put a great deal of time and money on getting the track fixed up. There's more to the story, I'm sure! |

Re: IHRA Division 1 Schedule
When I started racing IHRA (points) in 2003, I had four races within one-hundred miles. One each at Dragway 42 (100 miles) and Quaker City (23) and two at Pittsburgh (85). Now, I have Pittsburgh, Empire (225-ish?) and D-42 (when/IF it ever gets finished). Everything else is over three hundred miles for me, one way. And, NHRA is just as bad for travel (except Norwalk and Columbus, which lost a race this year). Makes me glad I 'retired' in 2007.

Richmond just re-paved the track........and now no pro-am ????

Re: IHRA Division 1 Schedule
How can you put a Div1 race on the same date as another Div1 race and expect success? I enjoy IHRA and support them as much as possible but this schedule is not accommodating to racing both sanctions. Tough decisions to make...
