Congratulations to Joe Martens B/S 69 Camaro for winning the United Manual Transmission Racers meet at Thompson Raceway Park yesterday.
Joe bested a field of close to 60 stick shift cars for the money.

Joe, great job. You stick shift guys are special and I admire the abilty to run those cars, I tried one weekend and it was not pretty.

Hey Joe DeMarzo, if you wanna learn to row one of these stick cars, come on down to the farm and learn how I did.
I was eight years old and my father drove me out to the middle of a field on a tractor and said 'disc this field'.
Then he said 'I'll be back at lunch' and jumped off the tractor as it was moving.

I guess he figured me for a fast learner 'cause he never showed up. I drove home myself! I was hungry.

Thanks for all the kind words, guys. It's nice to have good company with people such as yourselves. We had a great time, and a lot of good racing. UMTR really does a great job organizing these races, and puts on a great show for the fans. It was nice to see people in the stands. Hope to see you all soon.
