Re: External Oil Line for Mopar Hemi/RB SS
Jim,
Per the NHRA rule book ( as you have made reference to ) we do not allow the use of external oil lines on a Super Stock engines. except for the accumulator, remote oil filter and a pick up line from the pan to the oil pump on a bb Mopar. Do a lot of other engines have the oil pump mounted
external to the engine block where they would need one? |

Re: External Oil Line for Mopar Hemi/RB SS
There is no ruling for BB Mopars. It was a question in general that would apply to all engines of all makes. I had e-mailed some people asking about oil lines, didn't get a response from anyone, so I e-mailed NHRA about a clarification and posted it here. They sent me e-mails then, all requested me to pull the original post.
Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge. Say no more squire, SAY NO MORE! [Eric Idle, Monty Python reference] PS: I think the AMC engines have an external oil pump. But I didn't say that. |
