Congrats to Marty Buth--1st 4 cyl. Stocker to run an 11.39 !
 

All I can say is WoW !

Friday afternoon @ the Indy Fall Classic National Open in the last record run group, Marty made the quickest pass ever at an NHRA event with a 4 cylinder Stocker.

Driving his 1984 2.3L Turbo Mustang GT, he set the N/SA record over 4 tenths quicker than the previous N/SA record.


Marty was the first 4 cyl. Stocker driver to run in the 11's in May 2014 @ Bowling Green and then ran an 11.59 at the 2015 Class Nationals @ National Trail Raceway just 7 weeks ago in P/SA trim.



Congrats on a job well done Marty !

This pic was taken less than a minute before Marty pulled out for his back up record run Sat. morning.

Right behind him in line is Dan Tool in his white 1980 carbed and turbocharged 2.3 Stocker Mustang.

Dan set the national record in his class as well. ( Not sure what the record numbers are tho--I think low 14's)
Pretty impressive for a Turbo 2.3 with a carb that's for sure !

It was fun having three Turbo 2.3 Fords setting records at the same time @ Indy. :)
