ASRA ,,, Markow leaves no doubt
 

All Star Racing Association finished up the season with a spectacular weekend of great weather and great racing. Mark Markow held the Banks points lead coming into the weekend by 1 or 2 rounds.

He warmed up Saturday in the prestigious ASRA 16 car Boucher's shootout by besting the field and knocking off Todd Bednaz in the final.

Sunday brought more great weather, cooler and sunny. There were 8 racers with a chance to win the season Banks points, but Mark truly showed championship form and won Sunday's race over 47 tough racers. Mark won 3 of the 6 races this year . He swept the weekend and won the championship going away.

Congratulations Mark, a very dominating performance.

Also good to see the originator of this thread, Dave Casey, go to the final round. Sometimes the old cars take us further, huh Dave?

Sounds like I missed quite the weekend!

Mark, that's the way to win a championship, congratulations and enjoy.

Great to hear Dave was in the final, he's had a tough year to say the least.

Thanks guys it's still slowly sinking in , I'm just starting to realize what I have accomplished. When I consider the stacked field of veterans we have in our association. I am honored to just be a part of it. Thanks to everyone! Including the ASRA staff. the folks at BANKS Chevrolet, all the ASRA 2015 sponsors, and the crews at both LVD. and NED. for holding these races.
And most of all my wife, and all my friends, and racers that join in to make this the most enjoyable traveling road show you can be a part of.

Awesome job Mark. It was no easy feat against some of the best racers in the country, in my opinion. Congrats and well deserved
